How To Pitch iCourse FAQs
#1.I have written more than 1 manuscript. Is there is a limit to the number of manuscripts that can be included in the How To Pitch iCourse?
The answer is no limit :)
Once you've done your first, which is always the hardest, you'll be able to use the templates again for however many books you write. If you stick to the same genre, a lot of the information will be repeatable.
Remember though, always check with the publisher submission requests what they want. This publisher pitch package is designed to be all-encompassing, but not all publishers will require every little bit of detail. Some, however, will.
#2. What guarantee is there that I will find a publisher and get published after doing this iCourse?
As the saying goes, there are only 2 guarantees in life: death and taxes.
Well, let's add a third! We believe so much in our iCourse, that we will guarantee you'll find a publisher for your manuscript.
If you don't, you'll get a 100% Full Refund of your course fees*
All you have to do is:
- Complete the iCourse
- Create your proposal
- Submit your manuscript
What's stopping you?
*Refund policy based on successful completion of the iCourse and submission of the manuscript proposal within 12 months to 50 identified publishers that specialize in your genre.
#3. Who are the people behind this iCourse?
All Business of Writing School courses, workshops, and online courses are created by professional publishers, editors, book marketers, and published authors.
Our course creators and contributors have a minimum of 5 years experience in the industry, with some over 20 years experience.
#4. Who will be my course tutor?
You will be assigned a course tutor based on the information you give about yourself and your manuscript when you register and sign up for the iCourse. Your tutor will have a minimum of 5 years experience in the publishing industry, either as a publisher or editor.
#5. How long will it take to complete this iCourse?
The 9 modules in the How To Pitch iCourse have different time components, depending on how much information, research and writing is required to complete the tasks in each module.
The total number of hours has been estimated to be between 30-40 hours to complete all of the 9 modules.
However, there are other variables unique to your manuscript and genre that could extend the number of hours required to complete the iCourse.
#6. What is your refund policy?
You are entitled to a full refund of your money within 72 hours of registering and paying for the iCourse, provided you have not commenced any of the modules in the iCourse.
Commencement of any module in the iCourse will void the refund of registered payment.
#7. Can I contact other writers who've done this iCourse to see if it's right for me?
We are more than happy to connect you with students who have successfully completed the How To Pitch iCourse and have given us permission to contact them.
Due to privacy, we are only able to divulge this information upon request. Please feel free to do so.
#8. I've heard that literary agents are better at dealing with publishers than writers like myself. Should I not seek a literary agent instead?
This issue is covered in Module-3 of the iCourse. We do not advise on the route you should take in this instance.
However, should you wish to seek the services of a literary agent, the information in the iCourse will help you target, locate and pitch your proposal to the best agent for you and your manuscript.
